The Kirsten Connection

By accessing our services, purchasing our products, or engaging in any transaction with The Kirsten Connection, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Nature of Business

The Kirsten Connection is a boutique reseller of premium, certified pre-owned (CPO) and refurbished mobile devices. We are an independent entity and are not an authorized Apple Inc. service provider or affiliate.

2. Device Condition & Representation

Quality Standard: Every device is hand-selected to meet our 9/10 "Like New" to "Excellent" condition standard. Each unit has passed a comprehensive 50-point functional diagnostic test.

Battery Health: We guarantee a minimum battery health capacity of 85% on all units at the time of sale.

Physical Integrity: Our devices are inspected to ensure there are no cracks or structural dents. All units include a complimentary charging cable.

3. Pricing & Payments

Exclusivity: Prices are quoted per unit and are subject to change based on market availability and exchange rate fluctuations.

Order Confirmation: An order is officially confirmed only once the full purchase price reflects in our account.

4. LAY-BY VIA LAY-UP (THE 50/50 PLAN)

We offer a specialized Lay-by service powered by Lay-up. By choosing this option, you agree to the following:

Deposit: A minimum deposit of 15% of the total purchase price is required to secure the device.

Term: The remaining balance must be settled over a maximum period of 6 months.

Ownership: The device remains the property of The Kirsten Connection until the final installment is paid in full.

Shipping: No device will be dispatched until the Lay-by plan is marked as "Completed" by Lay-up.

5. CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY (LAY-BY)

We understand that financial situations can change. However, because a Lay-by removes high-value inventory from our boutique for an extended period:

Cancellation Fee: A 15% cancellation fee (calculated on the total purchase price of the device) will be deducted from any funds already paid.

Refund Processing: The remaining balance (after the 15% deduction) will be refunded to the customer subject to Lay-up’s processing timelines.

Price Locks: Once a deposit is paid, your price is locked. We will not increase the price, nor will we offer refunds based on market price drops during your term.

Payment Policy: We utilize secure EFT and payment links. To ensure the safety of our logistics and staff, we do not offer "Cash on Delivery" (COD) for courier orders.

5. Warranty & Network Guarantee

3-Month Limited Warranty: This covers internal technical and software malfunctions. This warranty strictly excludes physical damage, liquid ingress, and battery degradation resulting from improper charging cycles.

Lifetime Network Guarantee: We provide a permanent guarantee that the device is clear of any network blacklisting.

Voidance: Any unauthorized repair, tampering, or opening of the device by a third-party technician immediately voids all warranties provided by The Kirsten Connection.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Kirsten Connection shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our devices, including but not limited to data loss. It is the sole responsibility of the client to maintain regular data backups.

7. Compliance & Privacy

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Your data is collected solely for order fulfillment and after-sales support.
